IronFlock Cloud

The default deployment model. IronFlock runs entirely in the cloud — there is nothing to install or maintain. Devices connect over the internet to the IronFlock platform, and all services (backend, database, App Store, AI) are managed for you.

When to Choose Cloud

Cloud is the right choice when:

  • Your devices have reliable internet access.
  • You have no regulatory or network restrictions that require on-premises data residency.
  • You want the fastest path from sign-up to production — no infrastructure provisioning, no Kubernetes, no maintenance.
  • You want automatic system updates and access to the latest features as they ship.

What’s Included

  • Fully managed infrastructure — WAMP router, backend services, database, container registry, and secure tunneling are all operated by the IronFlock team.
  • Full App Store access — Browse and install every public app, including monetized apps from third-party distributors.
  • AI services — The AI assistant, multi-agent orchestration, and natural language query features are available out of the box.
  • Automatic updates — New platform versions roll out automatically.
  • Multi-account AppStudio — Multiple organizations can develop and publish apps on the same platform.

How to Get Started

  1. Sign up at ironflock.com.
  2. Create a swarm (your fleet of devices).
  3. Flash devices with FlockFlasher or register existing Linux machines via the agent installer.
  4. Install apps from the App Store and start building dashboards.

See Getting Started for a step-by-step walkthrough.

Limitations

  • Devices must have outbound internet access to reach the IronFlock cloud.
  • Data in transit is encrypted, and data at rest is stored in the IronFlock managed database. If your industry or jurisdiction requires all data to remain on your own infrastructure, consider the Appliance or Private Cloud deployment models.
